The 2025-26 OHSAA girls basketball regular season is right around the corner.

With the temperatures dropping outside, high school gyms will be heating up as the first day of official girls hoops practice starts Friday. Plenty of talented players return for area teams, who will be preparing for the start of the season on Nov. 21.

Here is a look at some area standouts to keep an eye on this season.

Elly Evarts, Gibsonburg

The Golden Bears’ junior has dominated throughout her first two high school seasons in already eclipsing more than 1,000 career points.
