Project Arunank of BRO marked its 18th Raising Day on October 24, 2025, in Naharlagun. The event celebrated 17 years of service in Arunachal Pradesh’s tough terrain.

Since 2008, BRO built over 696 km of roads and 1.18 km of bridges. These roads connect remote valleys and support Armed Forces operations.

BRO completed the 278 km Hapoli-Sarli-Huri Road. It was blacktopped for the first time since Independence. This road connects Kurung Kumey’s remotest region.

In 2020, BRO upgraded the road to NHDL standards. In 2021, they double-laned the Kimin-Potin Road.

On December 28, 2022, BRO connected Maza near the Line of Actual Control. They will inaugurate the TCC-Maza Road in November 2025. The TCC-Taksing Road is already complete.
