ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — A barn in Casco Township was damaged when a fire broke out Thursday evening, then rekindled overnight.

The barn on 109th Avenue near 61st Street first caught fire around 7 p.m. Thursday. Crews extinguished the fire and stayed on scene for about two hours, according to South Haven Area Emergency Services (SHAES).

The fire then rekindled around 3:20 a.m. Friday. Firefighters battled the "stubborn" fire, which was in the "cluttered" upper level, from outside the building as it was too dangerous to enter, SHAES said.

The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
