Spotify is hiking the price of its UK premium subscription. Messages have begun landing in subscribers' inboxes notifying them that costs will jump from £11.99 to £12.99 monthly.

This represents an 8.3% rise. Spotify states that customers will receive a one-month grace period. The company had revealed earlier this year that charges would increase across different regions - though it remained unclear whether this would affect the UK.

The previous rise, also of £1, was rolled out in spring 2024. Spotify said: "As we continue innovating and enhancing the value we deliver, we periodically update our pricing to reflect local market conditions and economic factors, ensuring our service remains unparalleled.
