STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Like last year’s inaugural gathering, the second annual Staten Island Basketball Oldtimers reunion drew a ‘Who’s Who’ in Island hoops.

The annual get-together once again took place at Lee’s Tavern in Dongan Hills on Thursday night.

Needless to say, there was an abundance of talent, a lot of laughs and one former Jaques Award winner (Mike Dunn) in attendance.

The hoops reunion featured many hoopsters from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, many of whom shared former war stories on the hardwood.

The event was co-organized by Gerard Nicholson and Mike Borik as all who attended were treated to a feast of various pizzas throughout the evening.

Nicholson serves on the Borough President’s Cup girls’ basketball tournament committee and said all proceeds left over after the bill
