Gurkirtan Singh, a youth from Sangatpura village near the Indo-Pakistan border in Sriganganagar, died in a tragic truck accident in Dammam, located on the coast of Persian Gulf in Saudi Arabia. The family is now working to bring his body back to India through the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian Embassy.

According to information, Gurkirtan had gone to Saudi Arabia on a work visa and was working as a truck driver. A youth who worked with him informed the family that the accident occurred on Diwali day. Gurkirtan was loading goods onto a truck when a major accident occurred while the vehicle was reversing. He was struck and severely injured by a large boulder and died in the hospital during treatment.
