A television actress is dead at 23, weeks after starring on a new show.
Isabelle “Izzy” Tate, who appeared in the pilot episode of ABC’s new TV series “9-1-1: Nashville,” died Sunday, according to The Hollywood Reporter . It was her first role as an adult after acting and modeling as a child, her representative at the McCray Agency said.
The cause of death was Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, rep Kim McCray told Entertainment Weekly . The rare neurological disorder includes “inherited conditions that cause nerve damage,” mainly to the arms and legs, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Country star Alan Jackson announced that he was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in 2021. He said he’ll play his final concert next year due to his health condition.
