The school run at one Ayrshire school has been made a little safer after a donation of hi vis vests.
All 308 pupils at Beith Primary received a vest from Miller Homes as part of their Home Safe initiative.
The donation coincided with International Walk to School Month which takes places in October and aims to encourage active travel, specifically walking and wheeling, on the school run.
Launched in 2019, Home Safe has seen Miller Homes work with schools across the West of Scotland and they have donated more than 9,000 vests to support child pedestrian safety.
As daylight hours shorten and visibility on roads decrease, it can become more difficult for drivers to see pedestrians - especially young children.
