Fox Sports has announced its plans for the historic 2026 World Cup taking place next summer.
A record 69 matches will be broadcast live on Fox, the company revealed on Wednesday.
This is the most World Cup games an American network has ever broadcast for one tournament.
The record offering comes amid the expansion of the showpiece soccer event from 32 to 48 teams for the first time.
The United States is also one of the three co-hosts of the tournament , with Mexico and Canada also staging some games.
“FOX Sports’ presentation of FIFA World Cup 26 is going to be the biggest production in our company’s 32-year history," said Eric Shanks, the CEO of Fox Sports.
