Local law officials arrested a murder suspect.

Yesterday, a deceased individual was found on the south end of Blackfoot.

Patrol officers confirmed the presence of a deceased person.

Bingham County investigators were immediately dispatched and initiated a preliminary investigation.

Following several initial leads, investigators identified Bobby G. Jackson as a possible suspect.

An arrest warrant was issued last night around 11:15 p.m., for Jackson for the charge of 2nd-degree murder.

They say he may have successfully left Blackfoot and attempted to flee the area.

The Blackfoot Police Department posted an update on Facebook around 2:50 a.m. this morning stating that Jackson was arrested and is now in custody.

There is no further danger to the public regarding this incident.
