The big, bright baseball lights aren’t foreign territory for Vlad Guerrero Jr. In fact, the 26-year-old Blue Jays superstar thrives performing under them whenever he gets the chance.
But what about his Blue Jays teammates? Will the spotlight of the World Series be blinding to them?
Not a chance, says Guerrero, who has been an All-Star Game MVP and Home Run Derby champ and now hopes to shine on baseball’s biggest marquee event.
“Because we enjoy every moment,” Guerrero said on Thursday when we asked him what makes his teammates can handle the World Series cauldron. “We enjoy every moment. We play hard every time. No matter whether we are losing or winning, we have fun. And when you have fun and enjoy every moment, something good can happen.
“To us, we believe in each other.”
