LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The city of Little Rock has extended its contract with the Little Rock police union for the next two years, increasing the police department’s salaries.
City officials said the contract will give officers with the Little Rock Police Department a 5% pay raise in 2025, 2026 and 2027. Officials said this will increase the starting pay for a rookie patrol officer to nearly $61,000 a year, making the LRPD the highest-paid municipal police force in Arkansas.
“It’s our obligation and priority to take care of our public safety personnel who put their lives on the line to serve our city,” Scott said. “We are fortunate to agree to terms on these history-making contract extensions that formalize our commitment to these first responders.
