PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A fire at a Bend storage facility early Friday morning caused over $100,000 in damage, authorities said.

Just before 4 a.m., Bend Fire & Rescue said they received a call about smoke coming from the storage facility near Bear Creek Road and Janalee Place.

When crews arrived at the scene, they said they found smoke coming from a building in the Storage Solutions complex with fire in one of the units, spreading to others nearby.

The fire was quickly extinguished and officials said they began removing contents from the adjacent units to prevent further damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but authorities said it appears to be accidental.
