DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The Minnesota Ballet is immersing audiences into a mystical world full of beauty and darkness with a classic tale.

Giselle will be the first performance to hit the stage this season.

“It’s beautiful,” said Brooke Bero, a company dancer. “The first act is a peasant scene, so lots of bright colors, lots of happy dancing. Then the second act is very serene, kind of eerie.”

Company leaders say it is a big year on the stage.

“This is our 60th anniversary,” said Karl von Rabenau, Executive Artistic Director. “We’re going more classical this year.”

The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty are some of the other classic performances the company will bring to the stage this season.
