1998-batch IFS officer appointed as India's next Ambassador to Ireland

New Delhi, October 24, 2025 (ANI): Manish Gupta, who is presently serving as the High Commissioner of India to Ghana, has been appointed as the next ambassador to Ireland, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Friday.

The MEA said in its statement, "Manish Gupta (IFS: 1998), presently High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Ghana, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Ireland. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly."

India and Ireland have longstanding ties.
