The Blue Jays will have one of their best hitters back in their lineup when the 121st World Series begins on Friday night at the Rogers Centre.
The Jays released their roster for the series on Friday morning and included the All Star shortstop on the list.
Bichette, who injured his left knee on Sept. 6 in a collision at home plate at Yankee Stadium, has been working diligently to return for the showcase and has been cleared to go.
It’s a huge development for the Jays given the potential of Bichette to add another impact bat, a player who was leading the league in hits at the time of his injury.
“I’ll be ready,” Bichette declared during the on-field celebrations following Monday’s Game 7 win over the Seattle Mariners in the ALCS.
