Two best friends have taken the awkward photo shoot trend to a whole new level in a now-viral TikTok channeling Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, '90s style.
Decade-long friends Elliot Richards and Travis Gregory noticed the once-common tradition resurfacing as a social media sensation, with people tapping into nostalgia by doing elaborate photo sessions with friends and family at professional studios, such as JCPenney.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of taking those kind of funny photos,” Gregory tells TODAY.com. “People like them, you know, it shows a different side of you. It’s great.”
Richards says they knew they had to partake in it.
“So I was like, ‘We got to do it. We got to try,’” Richards recalls.
