A career year has netted Brice Turang one of his first offseason awards.
The third-year second baseman has been named the Milwaukee Brewers ' most valuable player as selected by the Milwaukee chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America.
Turang, who turns 26 on Nov. 21, batted .288 with 18 home runs, 81 runs batted in and an on-base plus slugging of .794 with 24 stolen bases in 156 games. His 81 RBI and 94 runs scored led the major leagues at the second-base position.
He is a Silver Slugger Award and Rawlings Gold Glove Award finalist as well.
