(WJW) - Thousands of curling irons sold at popular retailers, salons, and online through Amazon are being recalled after reports of the curling iron barrel detaching, posing a burn risk.
The recall includes about 357,000 J&D Brush bio Ionic One-Inch-Long Barrel Curling Irons sold in-store and online at Salon Centric, Ulta, Sephora, and Nordstrom, and in salons and beauty supply stores nationwide from Aug. 2022 through July 2024. About 3,000 were also sold in Canada.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the problem has been reported by 258 consumers, including six who received minor burns.
Consumers should check for model number LXT-CL-1.0 with a date code between 0722 and 1223.
The irons, which weigh 15 ounces and measure about 15.8 inches long by 2.87 inches high
