The New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly signed NBA veteran center Deandre Jordan , ESPN reported Friday morning.
ESPN's Shams Charania reported the Pelicans signed Jordan to a one-year contract just hours before the team's home opener against the San Antonio Spurs. Jordan, 37, adds much-needed depth at a time where Kevon Looney is out with an injury and Yves Missi is questionable to play in the second game of the regular season.
Jordan's deal is reportedly one-year, $3.6 million.
Now in his 18th season, Jordan spent the previous three seasons with the Denver Nuggets. Last season, Jordan averaged 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 points in 12.3 minutes per game. He won an NBA championship with Denver in 2023.
The veteran was perhaps best known for his starting role with the Los Angeles Clipper
