KILLEEN, Texas (KTRK) -- For the first time, the City of Killeen, Texas, released dash cam video from the night the man accused of killing Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen took his life.
Aaron Robinson had been fleeing authorities in the early morning hours of July 1, 2020. Police say they were closing in on him as the prime suspect for the murder of Guillen that April.
The footage starts in the immediate aftermath of Robinson turning the gun on himself. Officer Frost with the Killeen Police Department pulls up after the shot has been fired, and we see one of Robinson's legs fall to the ground. The police move in to secure the weapon, check for a pulse, mark off the area, and discuss what happened.
Audio clips of the footage will air in a bonus episode of the ABC Audio and "20/20" Pod
