The former treasurer of a parent-teacher organization for a Coral Springs charter school was arrested for allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the group.

Rebecca Sanon, 51, was arrested by Coral Springs Police earlier this week on charges including grand theft, scheme to defraud and criminal use of personal identification, Broward jail and court records showed.

According to an arrest report, Sanon was the treasurer of the PTO for Imagine Charter School between August 202 and July/August 2024. Broward Sheriff's Office

During that time, she withdrew over $44,0000 in funds from the organization's bank account and by using the organization's debit card for personal use, the report said.
