HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) - Two men are accused of attempting to use counterfeit money at a local gas station earlier this month.
Reports said that Jacob Sprankle, 47, entered a gas station on West Liberty Street in Hubbard on two separate occasions on October 10 and October 11 and attempted to buy items with a counterfeit $20 bill.
Officers watched video footage at the gas station of Sprankle giving the employee the fake $20 bill. Reports said that when the employee told Sprankle that the bill was counterfeit, he said "No, OK" and took the money back without purchasing anything.
Police reports said that more video footage was given to officers that showed Paul Nicol, 47, attempting to buy cigarettes from the store on the night of October 12. Reports said that video footage shows that Nicol
