Indian Navy Mumbai made a winning start in the 42nd Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament by defeating Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala 3-2 after a tough match. Two matches of the league round were played on the second day of the tournament being held at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium, Jalandhar.
The first match was played between Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala and Indian Navy in Pool A. In the 10th minute of the game, Jogimber Rawat of Kapurthala scored a goal to make the score 1-0. Nitish scored a goal for Indian Navy in the 15th minute of the game.
After this, Charanjit Singh of Kapurthala scored a goal to make the score 2-1. After this, in the 34th minute, Navy’s Sushil Dhanwar scored a goal to make the score 2-2. In the 41st minute
