Investigators say the driver, who fled the scene, later hit another vehicle and eventually was arrested, was not impaired at the time of the incidents, and the victims were all unknown to him.
A 77-year-old woman, a 77-year-old man and a 46-year-old male sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital in stable condition.
