SPRINGFIELD ( WAND News ) - A new bill provision could make cocktails to-go permanent in Illinois.
A law was passed during the COVID-19 pandemic allowing cocktails and mixed drinks to be sold by restaurants for delivery and takeout.
According to State Senator Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago), 28% of consumers are entertaining at home more since the pandemic.
The proposal would permanently allow bars and restaurants to continue selling cocktails and mixed drinks for delivery and curbside pickup. It is meant to help restaurants continue to recover and offer more options for customers.
