LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Lewisburg man is facing a series of criminal charges after police responded to a disturbance at a downtown business on October 19.
According to the Lewisburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Sweet Shoppe on Washington Street West after reports of a fight.
When officers arrived, they found 36-year-old Nathaniel Maurice Gunn surrounded by several people outside the business.
Police say Gunn was yelling and pushing those around him.
When an officer attempted to detain him to calm the situation, Gunn reportedly became increasingly irate and resisted. Officers noted he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
Once Gunn was taken into custody, police spoke with individuals at the scene who reported that Gunn had been removed from the bus
