ENGLEWOOD, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Have you had trouble parking in Downtown Englewood lately? A recent study analyzed the data, and according to the results, more space is required to meet future demand.

Sarasota County’s parking study analyzed the Dearborn Street area and the Englewood CRA, finding 1,173 parking spaces across 57 locations, including 575 public spaces.

St. Armands parking availability ‘just fine’ merchants say

During a fine arts festival on March 29, 2025, public parking peaked at 63% occupancy with 367 of 575 at 11 a.m.

The report estimated that “82 additional spaces would be needed to meet anticipated demand tied to potential development on large commercial parcels.”
