First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m., but the festivities will start long beforehand.
The broadcast on Fox Sports in the U.S. will begin at 7 p.m. Pharrell Williams, the
“Happy” hitmaker, will perform on the field with the Voices of Fire choir. The choir will then perform both the U.S. and Canadian anthems alongside a “local Canadian ensemble,” MLB said in a statement.
Cito Gaston, who managed the Blue Jays in ‘92 and ‘93, will throw out the first pitch.
And since it’s Game 1, there will likely be long introductions of both the Blue Jays’ and Dodgers’ full roster and lineup.
