PITTSBURGH —
Hundreds of people lined up outside the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on Friday morning to receive free dental, vision and hearing care at the Mission of Mercy event.
"I need a filling, and I might need a root canal. And I'm in a little bit of pain on this side," Lori Matlack, a patient, said. Advertisement
Juliette Elbaum, another patient, shared, "I chipped for my tooth, and, unfortunate incident. And I'm hoping to have it capped because it makes me sad to look at."
More than 1,000 people are expected to attend over the next two days.
Inside the convention center, nearly 2,000 volunteers were ready to assist with dental cleanings, eye exams, hearing screenings and so much more.
