The New York Giants have been fined $200,000, head coach Brian Daboll $100,000 and running back Cam Skattebo $15,000 for conduct detrimental to the league after Daboll and Skattebo violated in the league’s concussion protocol in a Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium.
Daboll entered the medical tent and spoke with quarterback Jaxson Dart while Dart was being evaluated for a concussion in the third quarter of a game the Giants eventually won, 34-17. Skattebo also entered the tent.
In a joint NFL-NFLPA statement, the league said Daboll and Skattebo had entered the tent while Dart’s evaluation was ongoing, “creating the perception that they were interfering with Dart’s exam.”
