A Richmond Hill man was arraigned Oct. 23 and charged with attempted murder, assault and weapon possession for allegedly slashing a 25-year-old man’s throat and stabbing him in the back at the Mets Willets Point 7 train station in Corona last month, said the office of Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
Luis Pallchisaca, 21, of 112th Street, faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted for the attack, said prosecutors.
“A young man experienced every New Yorker’s worst nightmare ... on our subway system,” said Katz in a statement. “As alleged, this defendant saw the 25-year-old victim enter the subway car and — without warning — repeatedly slashed the passenger and then fled the scene.”
