A massive blaze at a commercial building in Inglewood has forced firefighters to take a defensive mode Friday morning.

The call came in just before 10:30 a.m. on the 4300 block of West Century Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Arriving firefighters found smoke and flames billowing from the building.

Shortly after 11 a.m., the fire department issued a second alarm for the incident as crews went into a defensive mode.

It was unclear if anyone was inside the building at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire also remains unknown.
