Ten people, including nine of them children, were hurt in a violent crash overnight in Orange County, and now a witness who rushed to help is describing the chaos and heartbreak at the scene.
The crash happened Thursday night along Raleigh Street near Campanella Avenue.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Nissan Altima carrying one adult and nine children was struck from behind by an Alfa Romeo.
Troopers say the Alfa Romeo's driver, a 29-year-old man from Kissimmee, failed to notice the Altima slowing down, rear-ending it and sending it off the road and into a tree.
Freddie Vila, who lives nearby, said he heard the crash and ran outside.
"That broke my heart," Vila said. "I almost started crying, and I don't ever want to relive that again."
