The owner of a property off Route 209 in the Pocono Mountains shot a former tenant in the left wrist, striking an artery, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers with state police at Fern Ridge were called just before 2 p.m. Thursday to the suspect’s property on Greenview Drive , off Route 209 in the Brodheadsville section of Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, according to court records.
The victim, a 34-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono in East Stroudsburg, where he spoke with police shortly after 3 p.m.
He told an investigator he had moved out of the property over the past week but returned Thursday to help a friend weld a vehicle frame, court records state.
