SALT LAKE CITY — Dozens of firefighters responded to a structure fire at a semitruck service shop in Salt Lake City early Friday morning.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department said a two-alarm fire broke out at the Polar Service Center at 1475 W. 2100 South.

Approximately 40 firefighters were able to get the blaze under control quickly, likely within 20 minutes of arriving. The fire was contained to only one service bay at the business.

Salt Lake FD said crews weren’t sure what caused the fire, but that a semitruck caught fire in one of the bays. The department said that truck was destroyed, and the building was damaged in the fire.

No injuries were reported.
