Qualcomm has given budget and mid-range devices a major boost, officially launching the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 —the first 6-series chip built on a 4 nm process node.
The new platform is designed to give more affordable devices the same features typically reserved for higher-end devices. This offers users faster performance, better gaming, and an improved camera experience without being too expensive.
Android Central notes that the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 is a significant upgrade over the 6 Gen 1 , largely due to its 4nm architecture. Qualcomm says this new architecture offers better efficiency and performance, with the company’s product overview showing that the new Kryo CPU is up to 26 per cent faster, with the Adreno GPU improving graphics by 59 per cent.
