HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — All lanes are closed on State Route 247 near the Robins Air Force base after some equipment fell off a semitruck, according to Sgt. Mike Kluge with the Houston County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Department of Transportation .

Kluge said, around 1:15 p.m., a semitruck hauling some unspecified equipment was driving past Industrial Park Boulevard near Bonaire and the Robins Air Force Base. Kluge said that the equipment fell off the semitruck, but did not affect any other cars.

A report from the Georgia Department of Transportation's 511GA website echoed Kluge's statements and said that all lanes near Industrial Park Boulevard are closed. 511GA says that all lanes are expected to be closed until 4 p.m.
