David Carter has no problem recalling where he was mid-afternoon on September 6 this year.
It was a fine and hot spring day, and the former Wallabies back-rower was in the lounge room of his cropping and grazing farm - the heartbeat of his family for some 120 years and located 63 kilometres south-west of Quirindi.
On his TV was a live broadcast of the Wallabies' clash against Argentina in Townsville, while on his iPad was a live stream of the Quirindi Lions' grand final showdown against the Moree Bulls in Moree.
