The waterslides at Cockburn ARC will remain out of action this summer.
The centre’s Rocket waterslide has been closed since early 2022, and the Tumbler and Pipeline were closed in December 2023.
They remain closed as the City of Cockburn carries out a “complex structural and operational review” to ensure they are safe to use.
“The waterslides have experienced various incidents and maintenance issues since opening,” group manager recreation Andrew Tomlinson said.
Cockburn ARC’s tipping bucket and some water play features are also temporarily unavailable because of scheduled maintenance.
The three 18m-high slides were opened to the public when Cockburn ARC opened in 2017.
The slides were worth a total of $3 million as part of the $109m facility.
