United States President Donald Trump bulldozed the White House this week. Then he took a wrecking ball to trade talks with Canada. In a late-night social media post on Oct. 23, he claimed he was pulling out of negotiations with Canada because of what he termed “egregious behaviour” by Ontario Premier Doug Ford.
A recent Ontario ad on U.S. television uses a speech by beloved former president Ronald Reagan in which he denounces tariffs.
“The Ronald Reagan Foundation has just announced that Canada has fraudulently used an advertisement which is FAKE, featuring Ronald Reagan speaking negatively about tariffs,” Trump said on Truth Social.
“They only did this to interfere with the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts,” he said.
