To the Editor:
As a retired police officer with 42 years of service to our town, the last 10 of which were as Deputy Chief of Operations, and a current Republican member of the Town Council, I am disappointed by the ongoing attacks and mudslinging going on by some candidates for the Board of Education and Town Council this year. I am also dismayed by lies and the intentional spreading of misinformation by these candidates in an effort to hurt others and to mislead the public. This needs to stop. Our townsfolk are smarter and wiser to all this name calling, attacks and mudslinging, and it does not go unnoticed.
What I have not seen or heard is how the two other political parties are going to do things differently. They talk about a lack of transparency, which is simply not true. They talk
