A high wind warning was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 1:10 p.m. valid for Saturday between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. for Clatsop County Coast, North Oregon Coast Range Lowlands, Central Oregon Coast Range Lowlands, North Oregon Coast Range and Central Oregon Coast Range.

The weather service adds to prepare for, “South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph, and gusts up to 65 mph near heavy rain showers.”

“Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles,” describes the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
