Authorities arrested a Massachusetts man accused of crashing a stolen vehicle after fleeing from police in Peabody.

Police tried to stop the driver on Lynn Street, but he turned around and fled, according to the Peabody Police Department. Officers ended the chase because of the driver's high speed.

A short time later, the driver hit two other vehicles, causing non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not say how many people were hurt.

The driver then lost control, going off the road and into the yard of a home, damaging the property and nearly hitting the garage, police said.
