GILLIAM, Mo. (KCTV) - One Missouri man is behind bars, while another is on the run after a 1-year-old was hospitalized with fentanyl poisoning from their alleged drug operation.

Saline County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Wednesday, Oct. 22, indicate that Chavez D. Kent, 25, and Roy D. Kent, 51, of Gilliam, have been charged with child abuse.

A probable cause statement filed by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office revealed that on July 24, investigators received a tip about a possible neglectful situation.
