A man mistakenly freed from prison after sexually assaulting a woman and a 14-year-old girl has been spotted boarding a train bound for London.

Ethiopian national Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu, 38, who had been residing at the Bell Hotel in Epping, was sentenced to 12 months behind bars in September.

However, he was seen getting on a London-bound train, Essex Police have confirmed. A manhunt has been launched in an attempt to locate the fugitive prisoner.

The Sun first revealed on Friday that he was supposed to be transferred to an immigration detention centre for deportation but was released by mistake, reports the Mirror .
