Over its last 10 games as a home underdog, Memphis is 8-2 ATS. Overall, when tabbed as a +6 or higher, the Tigers have won 4 in a row ATS.

UM certainly laid an egg last week at UAB and in this matchup the Tigers have thus far played a decidedly weaker schedule. But the down-to-down nuts and bolts of how these foes play football should make for a tight game.

South Florida's comfortable comp wins over the Boise State Broncos (34-7 Aug. 28) and North Texas Mean Green (63-36 Oct. 10) were colored by big turnover edges for the Bulls. In this game, a strong USF offensive line may find itself challenged in the trenches like it rarely has been so far. The Tigers are adept at stuffing plays at the line and in causing havoc.

On offense, Memphis moves the chains on the ground and through the air, is above-average in creating big plays and, with an 82.1% touchdown rate, ranks second in the AAC in red-zone efficiency.

The expected pace in this one may also be some leverage for the Tigers. The game figures as a tortoise-and-hare tussle, with UM being the turtle to USF's rabbit. For the Bulls over the last 2 seasons, games against slower types have produced multiple ATS losses. The opposite holds true for the Tigers' match-ups against faster squads.
