(KTAL/KMSS) — Eddie Murphy is finally getting the documentary he deserves — and it’s about time! Netflix is dropping Being Eddie on November 12, 2025, giving fans a closer look at the man who’s been making us laugh for over 40 years.

The film, directed by two-time Oscar winner Angus Wall (The Social Network), takes us from Eddie’s early days as a teenage stand-up and Saturday Night Live breakout to his massive movie hits like Beverly Hills Cop, Trading Places, and Coming to America.

Being Eddie includes never-before-seen clips and personal stories, with some of the biggest names in comedy — Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Hart, and more — sharing what makes Murphy one of a kind.
