Thursday evening, first responders from across Oklahoma joined the family and friends of El Reno Police Sergeant Thomas Duran for a private honor walk.
Duran was critically injured on Oct. 17 after being struck by a car while on duty.
The Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police announced Duran is an organ donor, and that his family is in the process of honoring his wishes.
“It appears, tragically at this time, that the inevitable outcome and further medical intervention will not prevent Sgt. Duran succumbing to his injuries,” said Oklahoma FOP president Mark Nelson.
Nelson said Duran remained alive Thursday night, but that not much time was left.
