ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - One person is dead, and another person was hospitalized after a crash Friday, October 24, according to Roanoke Police.

Roanoke Police responded to an eight-vehicle crash at the intersection of Orange Ave and Plantation Road NE.

Police say one person died at a hospital and another person was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic is being rerouted north on Plantation Road and south on Kimball Avenue, according to police.

The cause of the crash has not been determined.
